Declarative View Layers and Filters

How Pinia filter intent compiles into G6 hide and dim layers without topology changes: policy shapes, sync pipeline, and StateManager execution.

Graph exploration in this app combines several independent visibility controls on one canvas: collapsing or revealing the contributor subset, hiding compilation or secondary-catalog entities, dimming by entity type, and click-to-expand into more of the catalog.

The alternative to imperative branching is to keep G6 topology stable and treat the canvas as a compiled view: Pinia stores hold filter intent, policies describe which endpoints to hide or dim, and applyGraphViewLayers compiles that snapshot into layer instructions patched onto the live instance via StateManager, without calling notifyGraphTopologyChanged.

How to read the diagrams: Solid arrows follow call order. Dashed arrows mark work that is deliberately not done (for example, skipping a topology rebuild). Function and module names match the codebase so you can jump from story to source.
